Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - Built in 1865-1877 in Milan, Italy, this imposing structure is an upscale shopping mall with retailers such as Prada and Louis Vuitton, along with restaurants and bars. The layout is two four-story structures open to the outside covered with arched steel and glass roof, intersecting in the middle in an octagon topped with an enormous steel and glass dome. The building connects two Milan’s landmarks: the Milan Cathedral (Duomo) and the famed Teatro all Scala.
